A great dane would be way too big for a condo. And yes, they are prone to health problems.
no, they aren't too big for a condo.
they're amazing apartment dogs. they don't need a bunch of space, which is contrary to popular belief. they're huge lap dogs and the most lovable beasts on the planet.
the same goes for neapolitan mastiffs.
great danes like to bark. neapolitan mastiffs don't. both were bred to be guard dogs, however neapolitan mastiffs were bred not to bark unless there was an intruder and the masters needed to be alerted. they're both ridiculously protective of their families.
both are EXTREMELY loyal to their owners, especially the children of the owners. i run around the house and chase the kids and the dane will try and stop me from chasing the kids, just in case i actually was trying to hurt them.
