Something I used to do for a living.

I worked at a forge. We'd heat up steel to 2250F and squish it into a shape.

I took the name when I started playing Quake online.

Mine was a nickname that I earned at a lan party I threw back in 2002. I earned it rather spectacularly in Unreal Tournament. I made it a point to go after people w/ rocket launchers using only melee/default weapons.

The Big Muff is a classic guitar distortion pedal.

In the early to mid '90s, Ross Robinson was developing a production guitar sound for use with various metal and numetal acts. An engineer/owner at the main studio that Ross used for recording developed a crazy fuzz/distortion pedal utilizing a tube and other components crudely mounted to a piece of wood. The engineer called it the Bigger Muff pedal. You can hear it on Sepultura's Roots, the first two Korn albums, Limp bizkit's Three Dollar Bill Y'All$ and Soulfly's first album. I really liked the sound of this pedal and the way that all of these guitars were recorded.

I just took my moniker from the superlative form. 🙂

After watching Falling Down, I wanted to make a name involving vigilantes - cuz that movie is chock full of them. For some reason my name just made me rofl, and it still does.

Nickname I gave my brother because he drinks many beers. For whatever the reason I decided to use it as my online screenname.

Originally a way to poke fun at organized religion, even though I find Christianity, Islam, Scientology, etc. a lot more offensive than Buddhism.

A few months ago, I Googled my screenname and found out it's actually a cabaret band from Oxford, UK.

Dammit, I have no creativity 🙁.
