I got my name after my favorite Album at the time.. Pearl Jam - Yield

it's no longer my favorite at all, but the nick stuck.. that's all it really is.. nothing more than an album name.. but like i say.. it stuck. 🙂

 
It was my wizard's handle (Diablo) on Battlenet. The correct spelling ("azrael") was taken, so I altered the spelling slightly. It stuck. 🙂

I played a lot on Battlenet (I hated the cheaters and pkers though). D2 i've played some on Bnet, but I'd get so lagged (US East) that I stopped playing for a while. Right now, I'm engrossed with Pool of Raidance. 😀
 
Saltboy is short for Razor Saltboy, which is an ACTUAL, REAL NAME used by a Native American I met about four years ago. I thought it was the coolest name ever, so I took it as my own. 😉
 
long story short:
a girl once wrote in my book ((dont ask if you dont know what imean and if you do SHUT UP, IT WAS 3 or 4 YEARS AGO, EVERYONE HAD A BOOK THEN.)) "eakers! you are the cutest thing ive ever seen"

so then it ended up being my name on the hullaboard and it kinda stuck.

yeah there is alot more to that story but thats the main part.

Boredom, a complete lack of forethought, and an intensly peculiar sense of humor, plus, my last name is Perkins. Lastly, I'll do anything for a pun. Hence, my motto: "Only the Perknose Knows". It comes loosely from that old '40's radio show "The Shadow", which had as it's tag line, "Who knows what evil lurks in the minds of men? The Shadow knows."

And I'm a huge fan of that seer for suckers, NostrilDamnUs, who can really, really pick 'em.
 
mithrandir is Gandalf's elvish name. It is easy to say and remember and is undeniably a fantasy name. Gandalf and elves are both awesome as well. The 2001 appendage was added because somebody already registered "mithrandir".

my aim sn (oplax31) stand for Osboun Park Lacrosse, 31 was my number at the time.. made that 7 years ago when i was a freshman in highschool, i still use it today.

Actually, I know someone here who took his nick from a random name from the phonebook.
 
Mine harkens back to the old AOL days, when I first started with this "internet" thing.

I wanted to make my screen name Brutuskendall (my dogs name + my last name) but AOL would only let me use 10 letters.

 
aphexII - named after aphextwin (a techno artist i was into when i created the nickname a few years ago). aphexTwin was taken already when i was trying to register my nickname on aol instant messenger, so i came up with the two II's... I've tried to change it to other things, but ive always come back to aphexII, just cant leave it 🙂
 
ah yes...I'm "b0mbrman" and not bomberman because of AOL.

the "e" is gone so that I could have 8 letters, the "O" is a zero because you can't say the bomb word
 
I unfortunately didn't have very creative friends when growing up, so my nickname has always been Big John - being 6'7" it is a fitting nickname. I recently moved to Kansas City, so BigJohnKC seemed to be the right way to go. 🙂
