Don't take this the wrong way, but I hope your friend is in a world of hurt right now and stays that way for days. Consuming that much alcohol is stupid and you are stupid for encouraging it. I seriously hope that I never have a friend who cares so little about me like you care about your friends. May you all die slow and painful deaths...oh wait, you're already on your way.

Again, don't take this the wrong way. Someone above said that it's alright to abuse your body every now and then. Well,
1. You're not just abusing your body when you do that, you're kicking the sh!t out of it.
2. Wait until you are a bit older. You'll start wishing that you took better care of your body.

I say all of this because I've seen people do what you just described way too often thinking that it was all just fun and games...until the rude awakening (ie: someone dies, or gets their life ruined in some way). So please think carefully about what you are doing and if it's really so great that you encouraged your friend to poison himself nearly to death.

I understand the call for caution, but you need to understand the subjectivity of drinking. Many people can drink enormous amounts of alcohol with very little ill effects. Many people live to be 80-100 as severe alcoholics. I'm not saying their quality of life wouldn't have been improved if they hadn't drank, but there is no one truth.

Stop posting and go cause some brain atrophy if you love pissing your pants and not remembering it so much.

what does a night of drinking have to do with alcoholism...

yes you are overreacting and brainwashed...

Do you read the things you post ?

College binge drinking != alcoholism.

It can lead to alcoholism, but the two are not the same.

I didn't say it did. I don't consider myself qualified to make such a declaration, either way; but I'm astonished to find there are so many medical professionals posting..

My point was about the sentence I bolded.

I'm fairly sure lots of alcoholics drink, at night.

And you're looking at the post out of context.

Dartworth was referring to the fact that merc made a huge leap to associate a single night of drinking with alcoholism, especially when we were talking about the side effects of a single night of binge drinking.

During the day as well. Most alcoholics drink at all times of the day. In the morning they'll slip some in their coffee. True alcoholics do not stop drinking.
