What does it mean when someone wears a stuffed animal tail everywhere?

i have a female coworker and she wears a long stuffed animal tail to work everyday

is she advertising that shes a "furry" or something along those lines?

she also seems gay, is it a gay thing?
 
Only one way to find out. Pull her tail and give her a wink. Then ask if she wants to come to your yiffing party.
 
I've only seen that at ren fests, where I suppose it's kind of expected. Not very rennaissance, but ren fests aren't really renaissance anyway. They skate through on a technicality, but they're more medieval than anything. I saw Klingons at a ren fest once. They looked pretty good :^D

We saw this once at a restaurant. A young woman/teenager had one. My daughter asked and I had nothing. Had no idea what to say to try and explain it other than don't do it.

I assume some furry thing, but, you never know until you ask.

I can't say I understand all the 'asshole, gay, subhuman' line of talk about it, who gives a shit what she does if it isn't impacting you in the slightest? People are different and are into different things, news at 11.
 
Entirely inappropriate in a work setting unless she works in a comic book store or a comicon booth or something.

You: Well some grown ups also like cartoons, a lot. So they dress up as their favourite characters
Kid: Why?
You: Nobody knows.
Kid: What do they do in those costumes
You: You'll find out when you're older, but hopefully never. 😀
 
Cool, was just curious what you guys thought it means. And if I was mising something.

I actually am gonna ask her what it means, one of these days when I pass her in the hall, loudly, when there's a lot of people around.
 
Sounds hot to me, she better be hot, probably is hot if she is pulling this off.
