I'm inclined to agree with Jfur on this one. Proportionate, when used by a woman, generally has an overall positive connotation, it's the modest way of saying she's comfortable with how she looks (and is almost certainly not extremely heavy).... it's a nice, neutral way of saying that she doesn't look like a troll without giving details like measurements, etc, and also lets her see if you push the issue (a guy who continues to press for details raises a warning flag). I'd say take her at face value, and you'll probably be pleasantly surprised, or at least not horrified. Just my $.02.
I'm tall and use weight proportionate to height when describing myself to strangers and I can assure you I'm certainly not fat !
