*What does Coach Fox Say?!* Official NFL Week 12 Thread

No game in the NFL is a gimme. I'm not mad they lost. I'm mad that:

1. They got blown out.
2. Pagano and his coaching staff have done NOTHING to remedy the issues they've had the past few weeks except talk a big game.
3. To recap the last few weeks:

a. Barely beat a bad Texans team
b. Barely beat a mediocre Titans team
c. Got blown out by the Rams
d. Got blown out by the Cardinals

In every game above, they got way behind early and I'm sick and tired of it. Both the offensive line and the defense has been horrendous during that time. Yes, they have injuries, but unless you're talking about losing Luck (which they haven't), those are responsible for 30 point losses. Oh, and Pep Hamilton's play calling has been atrocious.

And then to top if off, after the win against the Texans or Titans (or maybe even both), the locker room video showed Pagano talking about how "tough and resilient" the team is and even more maddening, he actually said something like: "You know guys, we really don't have to keep playing from behind like this!" WTF has he done to address it? Not a goddamned thing.

I was right when I said Caldwell was a bad hire for their HC. I was doubly right when I lambasted them for hiring Larry Coyer as their DC a few years ago. And last year, I said it was a huge mistake when they hired Greg Manusky as their DC and yes, I'm right once again. They need to fire Manusky and Joe Gilbert (OL coach) at a minimum after this year and spend the bucks on some good coaches.

I have to admit I did laugh when the Colts were in the red zone and Luck was pressured and threw a high pass into the corner to Heyward-Bey. DHB started jumping around madly like he was interfered with and all I could think was "Yeah, right, like you would've caught the ball if you were standing there and it hit you in the hands, you dumbass."

Welcome to the land of Cowboy fans. Well, at least our defense is completely decimated by injury so they have a reason to be bad.

I think this weekend proved that the NFC North is the worst division this year.

I bet my Raiders could beat any team in that division without even trying.

hey I was preaching all year how not that bad the rams and cards are.

rams finally getting theirs....too bad it was against my bears 🙁

the lions will always F it up, its karma, they play a rough dirty ass game all the time and it always ends up coming back to them 😛

Schwartz has never shown much character, and he drafts similar guys(suh and fairley)

The who? I don't think I know that team.

I'm ordering my Raiders hoodie today, hope it will be here in time for Thanksgiving!

Brady threw well through the wind, Peyton didn't.

I think Manning is now 2-8 when the temps are below freezing. Ankle, cold, gloves, etc. he just couldn't put any zip on the ball even when he had the wind to his back. Better hope Denver builds a dome before the playoffs start.

That. Was. Awesome. So glad to see the Broncos go down 😀

Steelers also looking slightly more competent as the season goes on. And since the second wildcard spot in the AFC is currently split between numerous teams with a 5-6 record they are, incredibly, still quite in the running lol. Hell if they beat the Bengals & Ravens coming up they could very well win the division.

The Rams were actually rather terrible at the beginning of the year. I thought they were good, by virtue of them being fairly decent the previous two seasons--playing strong, making very competitive games with anyone they faced....but they were god-awful the first couple of weeks.

A couple of things happened, and they seem to have changed direction--Stacy is coming into his own, and Bradford went down. I'm not sure it's a real improvement over Bradford, but he was having a terrible start this season. So, maybe, the fact that he isn't out there turning the ball over and overthrowing his targets has made all the difference. :\

manning fan here. yeah, lol at the broncos - i switched off at halftime and saw the result in the morning.

btw, do you get the feeling that manning lacks the ruthlessness to win? i somehow think he is "soft".

brady and many others (not just football, in other sports as well) just kill their opponents when get the higher hand.

Denver's defense sucks. Normally I'd say that Brady is going to get WTFPWNED when he visits Denver in the playoffs, but Denver's defense is a putrid pile of crap on the level as the Colts' putrid pile of crap defense.

It wasn't just Manning lacking that drive though. It seemed like the entire Denver team was on autopilot after the first half. Even when NE scored all those unanswered points, they never really showed back up. They were even given first possession in OT (something that should be unheard of with how well they are scoring), yet they couldn't manage a field goal.

The Pats looked like they really wanted it when they came back after half time.

The Manning haters always blame Manning when he loses. Never changes.

And if NE lost, you would have been gloating about how Manning is better than Brady even when Manning at any time could have changed the play and thrown the ball last night. Too cold and windy for him, I guess.

Choketastic performance by denver last night.

Granted I fell asleep in the 3rd quarter, but last I knew Denver had to change coverage schemes because they were already down something like 4 or so DB's and Brady was just picking them apart. "Next Man Up" can only get you so far.

Sure, Manning was having a horrible game by his standards too. The only offensive star on Denver seemed to be Moreno last night. But it seemed to come down to injuries killing the Denver D.

Manning seems more like a Lebron where Brady is more like a Jordan/Kobe.
