<< Okay, i'm almost 19. My face isn't full of acme, i just have problems with some various blemishes that are reoccuring. I can't even drink a glass of pop / eat a candy bar / have pizza without something breaking out the next day. I haven't really given any types of creams or solutions a try and I was wondering what works the best for anyone? Sometimes my face is clear for about a week but then i eat the wrong thing and *boom*.

What should I use to help ? :p

EDIT
I went out and bought that Stridex cooling anti-bacterial Foaming wash.... wow... it really made a difference. I think I have a reaction to the regular bar soap... but I woke up today and my face was 40% better than it was previously. :) ...that stuff really makes your face cold. lol

I had terrible acne also. In my case, food had nothign to do with acne, it was entirely hormonal (Testosterone levels are high, people with high Estrogen levels won't get acne) and the only thing that helped was Proactiv solution which can be found here: ProActiv. I tried Retin-A but that was about $100 per month and I've tried Benzamycin (another $40 per month). Nothing works better for me than Proactiv. You may want to try it sometime. So acne is a good thing in terms of the positive aspects of T (i.e. increased muscle mass with little effort in the gym, higher aggression, and more sexual drive). But it can also be a real pain in the face. :)

I always have used simple, plain old Ivory. It has worked well for me, and I continue to use just for my face.

Plain old soap and water is the best medicine. Be sure to pop all those pimples with a clean needle ok?

There is this prescription medicine I use that is called tetracycline. It gets rid of everything after your second week of use and you can eat whatever you want without worrying. It is a caplet that you take twice a day.

After using it for 6 months, the doctor said its not good to use it for a long time, because it can cause liver damage.

Oh well, its the outside that counts......right?

:p

I use nothing but nice old hot water. Not scalding hot, but hot . Anything else and my face gets a zit or two.

I can't emphasize enough the importance of not touching your fact at all durring the day, and getting lots of sleep.

Every time I go for 3 or more days with 9+ hours of sleep, my face clears up very nicely. Your body needs time to heal all the pimples.

Not touching your face is just as important. I was in the habit of touching my face all the time and I did not realize it. I would just rub my fingers over my face to see if I had any new pimples or anything. Well, I made a great effort to stop this habit, and whala....I cleared up some more.

I am also on retin-a, and anti-biotics at the moment.

Unfortunatly, I still have a greasy face which pisses me off a lot. I look terrible in pictures, my forehead looks all shinny - I hate it to no end.
