Yah I watched almost every episode and it came to an end (figuratively too) within 10 minutes of her choosing someone. I can't help but laugh at all this. I think most of it was staged for ratings/plot.

After she chooses the winner (Gill or whatever his name was - the buff guy), they go to Mexico. On the 4th day of their vacation, they're on the beach and she says that her ex boyfriend was Fabio. Gill/Gil/whatever spazzed out and took it badly. He walked away from her and went into the water and was all like 'Fabio? Any guy would understand why I'm so mad!' and so on. He then dumps her and leaves.

I think NBC just wanted a story where the girl does the conventional (pick the hunk) and loses... badly. Too abrupt... too staged... too good a reason they had a "writer" credited at the beginning of every show.

it seemed that the girl had a good connection with the average guy from Boston. they were kissing A LOT and seemed really good together. the date with the "hunk" seemed detached and pretty bad.

were the other dates with the hunk better?

from watching just this episode, i was really thinking she would really pick the average boston guy.
