I don't like Martha Stewart - AT ALL - but I think it's silly she was prosecuted, and it's clearly the case that she is being used as an example. As far as I can see she poses no threat to anyone, and already has a federal criminal conviction. Some combination of fines, community service, and probation is fine by me.

Oh cmon... given the chance, every single person on earth will use insider trading to their benefit. I agree, its not a good thing and should be illegal but sending people to jail for this is bullsh!t in my opinion, especially for the financial gain that Martha Stewart got. Fining / putting on probation should be the max IMO.
