Mid 80s Chevy Nova? Why?
I included that because my buddy used to own one. It was incredibly slow, very ugly, and handled like garbage. And the tires/wheels were TINY, even by econobox standards. Eh, I guess to each his own...I just don't like them.
Ah, but it was never made to fast, stylish, or a great handler, and I agree with your assesment. But it was far from a low-quality unreliable POS. For what it was supposed to be, an inexpensive point A to B appliance, it was very good.
you do understand that this thread is a WORST car ever right??
nothing in either of your posts seems to indicate that you understand that.

I already posted my entry for worst car in modern times: the Ford Tempo with its inexcusable Escort based suspension, carrying even more weight, that wears out every little piece in 1/4 the time that a well designed suspension would.

ok. i must have missed that post.
so what was all that about with the nova?? it obviously wasn't an entry for worst car.
Ah, wrong. The Escort was based of the VW Rabbit's front suspension. The Tempo was a modified version of the Rabbit's suspension too, but with a different rear suspension set-up to reduce abnormal tire wear in the front.Originally posted by: Thegonagle
The Ford Tempo. Based on the absolutely horrid suspension design of the Escort, but forced to carry more weight, so it wears out even faster.
So were 90% of all other cars built during that time period.Originally posted by: goossedump
pintos also have their gas tank near the end of the car so if you get rear ended... = gg
Funny you should say that, most of the people that own those cars loved them. I still have a couple of customers that still drive theirs with 200+ miles on them.Originally posted by: Compton
Ford Fiesta, I don't think I've seen one go more than 40 mph.
Come on Roger, the Edsel! Give the poor car a break, it suffered from poor quality and lagging sales to even allow the car a decent production run.Originally posted by: Roger
Volare !
Any mid seventies to mid eighties Chrysler with lean burn, yes the Yugo was extremely poor.
Edsel
The same statement about the Pinto can be said for a lot of cars, but when was the last time you saw a Yugo?Originally posted by: bdjohnson
of all time: pinto (how many have you ever seen still running today?)
that my family has ever had: Chrysler minivan total POS
Oh please, let us see you convert a gas engine to diesel and make last longer than 300k+ miles.Originally posted by: crab
Early-mid 80s GM Diesels
AMC Pacer, it was a fine car, but the ignition control module would fail at radom times leaving cars and their owner standed. The part cost to fix the problem was less than 12 dollars, but it took six months too long to get a better part in to production.Originally posted by: yamahaXS
what was that bubble car?
