Spent over $600.00 on multiple blood transfusions for my cat.
His blood was making too many white cells and not enough red. When the drew blood out of him it looked like strawberry soda. They gave him one transfusion of new blood and he got better for a day and then it went white again. They gave him a second, same effect. Brought him home to die, but he didn't. Everyone at work couldn't understand why I spent so much on a pet (I had only had him a couple of years at that point).

I have about ~$3000 or so in my coffee equipment.
It's all relative anyway, right? To a cyclist a $1500 bike is probably on the low end. To anyone in the coffee industry $3k is cheap, .
i agree
what do you do with all that coffee stuff
do you roast youtr own
or grow your own?
I do roast my own, and while I have a coffee plant it's just for novelty purposes. This is what I have in my apartment away from home, but I am putting together a more substantial bar back at home.

I have a hard time believing that others couldn't understand spending $600 on your cat. It's not exactly uncommon for pets to require such treatments, and I wouldn't hesitate to empty my bank account for my cats.

I'll give a vote to my Powermate. I got a black one for $39.99, it's fantastic! People are like, you paid $40 for...a knob? Then I show them how it works and they want one 😀
Can you give some examples of how this is useful? I read the reviews and the website. Besides the volume control, I can't see taking my hands off the mouse and keyboard (one hand on each) to reach over and turn a knob and then move back. It slows you down. Can you give specific examples?
Thanks.

That's my next useless toy! I've had two volume knobs on sets of speakers get all staticy from being used so much I guess. Fortunately Logitech agreed with me that it shouldn't have gone bad after less than a year and sent me a replacement. But this would be really nice to stick on the desk behind the mouse to adjust the volume!

Hmmm.. I guess you need money before you can own something expensive enough to fall under this category.
