OP is a very good troll. Responds to each reply with another iteration of the initial question. Good troll. I award a cookie for trollmanship.

The closed-mindedness (generally speaking) as well as many views on some issues that I personally don't agree with (views on gays, abortion, typical things).

Not to mention the copious evidence, which I will not delve in to because I don't wanna get sucked in to the shit-hole that is P&N.

Religion is a fact of life.. science is a religion too, but most people don't take time to think about it.

Nihilism and agnosticism can be valid, consistent worldviews though.

I think you are confusing science with Scientology.

Right, but we're making the assumption here that being open-minded is how the world is supposed to work. What if it is the case that there is a "right" way to do things? Trying to be open-minded is a religion in its own... and it's a difficult case to argue that one religion is better than another.

A religion is a worldview that ultimately takes something on faith. For Christians it's that the Bible is the true source of wisdom. Science is a worldview that assumes repeatability and observability - that's the scientific procedure. That the universe will always behave the same and that the universe always behaves observably is something that scientists take on faith. HOWEVER, scientists find this acceptable because this is the worldview that makes the most sense. In other words, for scientists, if some assumption must be made, repeatability and observability of the universe makes the most sense.

Someday it will be illegal to bring a child to a church and indoctrinate them. The world will be a better place.

We indoctrinate them already. Education and science as it is IS a religion (though to many, this is the religion that makes the most sense).

What we should hope for is that school does not even teach a worldview, but rather gives students the analytical skills to determine what worldview best fits what they understand to be true.

I would summarily reject any belief system that forbade to use my logic. I believe in the trinity because based on my reading and study, I thinks it biblical. Do I completely understand it? No.

You know its Biblical, but you don't understand it?

How about you go ahead and explain to me how its clearly Biblical such that it cannot be shown the trinity is a by product of an interpretation of the Bible. At the very least you stated it is Biblical, so I'd like to see the argument to see that.

If you are curious what I'm interested in, I wanted to show you that the Trinity actually is how one reads the Bible. I've seen the Bible used to show that the same passage(s) that allegedly refers to the Trinity, from another understanding, is not talking about the trinity and is being wrongly interpreted.
Once you see it is how you interpret it, then you can say that it should stand up to human's logic because it comes down to how one reads it. And if a person reads it in a certain way, it better make sense and be plausible -- "Its hard to understand we don't get it" is a cop out for an idea that is conflicting. Anyways, since I said the basic aim of what I'd like to see happen, I'll bow out for now. Tired anyways. Good night.

When people take pride in their faith instead of humility from it, you get posts and replies like the ones the OP is providing.

Many have said this before, but imo the biggest problem with christianity is the christians.

Its the whole oh I interpret things this way. Well you're wrong. Ok well now I kill you thing that gets me.

Oh and the fact that a supposed omnipotent, omnipresent, spiritual super power has human emotions like jealousy or hate. If I was god and hated something I'd probably just snap my fingers say zim zim sala bim and poof wiped from history.

This link shows some verses that support the trinity.

I can't believe you guys are feeding this circular logic troll, probably a recently banned troll that.

"Why don't you like pain?"
"Because it sucks"
"How does it suck?"
"It sucks because it's painful, it's irritating"
"What do you mean irritating?"...
"well, it's painful, it's irritating that I can't get rid of the pain and I can't fart"
"farting is not a tenet of pain, why do you want to get rid of the irritating pain?"

OP, STFU already.

What do you find objectionable about my replies, and specifically what is it about them that shows a lack of humility?

If I understand your reply, you have no objections to Christianity, you just dislike Christians.

Isn't rejecting Christianity because you dislike some Christains like rejecting education because you dislike some teachers?

That wouldn't seem to make much sense.

Can you show examples of where I have used circular logic?

I mean please show me specific instances in this thread where I've used circular logic.

How do you define logic, specifically?
Is is something that makes sense to you, or actual logic?
Does your belief defy your logical mind?
Have you trolled any other websites?
If so, how did they respond?

I am asking questions to better understand people's comments.

You're obviously trolling. There's a difference.
