Cyberlink Power2Go v6. It's an old version but works fine for the rare occasion I have to burn a DVD
I picked up Ashampoo Burning Studio 14 for 19.99 a few days ago. Very cheap.Almost anything is better than Nero .. Nero 6 was not too bad, but it has gotten way bloated ever since. I have heard of Ashampoo and sometimes you can get it on a website called: giveawayoftheday.com ... only drawback is is must be installed same day it is offered and you usually can not update to newer version or the license goes bad. But sometimes the Ashampoo offers are much better license terms for the giveaways.
I use Roxio EMC 10 on two machines and EMC 9 on another. In any case, it is no longer a common event.![]()
I very rarely use CDs or DVDs however I do use them to store an extra copy of something important. So i keep a copy on the external drive and i burn a copy on a CD/DVD to archive. I still print out paper copies of important documents
YES, 100% TRUE. Excellent observation!
CDs and DVDs have pretty much already faded into obsolescence.
Put it on a thumb drive or better, put it on an external drive. However, I (just me) wouldn't trust putting it into cloud storage.
I do NOT feel warm and fuzzy about security of any Cloud service.
Reason: I've received letters of apology 5 times now from famous finance corporations and from an elite top 10 university grad school, and from another university (hers) that our private details were breached. "Oh so sorry, too bad for you."
