I was beginning to like this girl and I thought she might have some interest in me...but now she seems to bring up this other guy's name more frequently. Sigh...depressing.

EDIT Thanx for your contributions. I just want to clear some stuff up. I'm NOT interested in sleeping with her even though she's really pretty. However she's smart and extremely sweet, so I'm not interested in going to bed with her. I enjoy her company and I was starting to get to know her better. I think I'll just back off for now and prepare to move on🙁
 
Either that or she's trying to make you jealous enough to GROW A FREAKING PAIR and actually talk to her about your feelings.

Now's the time, bud. If you don't respect her enough to tell her the truth, then you don't deserve her. Take a chance. What's the worst that will happen? You'll go on with your life and meet someone else??

Hey, all is not lost! Not only are you on the inside...
you can play the game, mess with her, and mebbe get fringe or direct benefit!

Just start mentioning another girl that you think is hot and she knows... (that should either mess with her mind or get you some dirt)
Or start dissing the guy... HAHA!
 
🙂 I think what FFM says is right but you have to be on the lookout for *other* signals she should be throwing to go with it if she's just trying to make you jealous...

 
Yeah, this is your chance to say: "If he was really interested in you he would _____" and fill in what you are good at.

Yeah you're in friend mode. Your only chance is to let it plateau at that level, and then slip in whe it doesn't work out with the other guy and you can slip in when she's emotionally vulnerable. 😀
