sorry I'd have to call BS on that.

If you're dazzled by $30k (which I was not the only one with), you don't need a $3,300 watch.

notice how I said "at least 10 times."

not dazzled by 30k at all. but I dont buy the crap that you are spewing out.

You live in a bubble if you're impressed by that.

And you're stupid if you buy the watch and don't have a decent income ($150k+).

please stop crapping in my thread. why arent u permabanned yet?

Geez this thread went off on a tangent - if I remember correctly, he was asking for opinions on the watch NOT his financial planning....

But, as long as we are on the topic...
Yes, to most people $3K is a lot of money to spend on a watch. But, before you judge his choice take a look in your own house...
When was the last time you had that SUV off-road? in 4WD? Is that 42" HD the only TV that gets cable or do you just like the picture quality better? Did you replace that P3 with a C2D because you couldn't log into your email anymore anymore? etc, etc....

You can pick these individual examples apart all you want, but unless you do all your shopping at WM and the local thrift store, you have made similar choices yourself. People spend their money on their priorities and make individual choices about what things in their life are worth an extra investment.

A Timex tells the time just fine and will last for years.
However, if you want something that is more than a just a time keeper - something that is a little unique, built to higher standards and is just as much about craftsmanship, engineering and artistry - then you are going to make that choice for yourself.

A fine watch - especially if bought second hand - will retain its value pretty much forever. Thats a lot more than I can say for the TV or the SUV.

Just my $0.02... or $3K... whatever. 🙂
