What do you get when you're looking for "healthy" fast food?

Yeah yeah, I know there isn't really such a thing. But let's say healthiest fast food.

Me personally, I go to Extreme Pita and get their Sizzlin Sirloin Pita. It's a little small for the price, but it's really tasty and actually quite healthy.

Subway is next on my list, get a Turkey Breast & Ham, but I'm trying to watch my sodium...I blow the limit massively every single day. I'm usually about 3300mg of sodium a day, which is way too high. Subway doesn't help with all of their footlong subs being 2000mg alone!

Other than that, Arby's seems to be the best choice if you *must* have a burger. It's not good for you at all, but it's way way better than DQ or Mcdonalds or some other choices.
 
I only eat Subway other than Deli food at my work, which is mildly healthy (better than any fast food but still not healthy, I just limit myself.)

Less calories and fat, yes. But it's still heavily processed and the sodium level is almost as high as regular fast food.
 
Subway, or a grilled chicken sandwich at McDonalds with no mayo. Without fries.

Not the best thing you can eat (both have almost ridiculous sodium) but it's as good as it will get when it comes to fast food. I usually compensate with a lot of water during the day. 🙂
 
Lately I've been having Kimchi Jiggae (Spelling?) at this Korean place. It's basically rice, HOT kimchi stew, and some pickled cabbage on the side. Very delicious and pretty healthy IMO.
 
I usually get chinese takeout when I get fast food. Moo goo gai pan is my current healthy fave but sometimes I can't resist the egg foo yung.
 
Unless I'm mistaken, isn't it if you sweat a lot you are "OK" to ingest a bit more sodium? I sweat at work all day and spend 10 minutes in a Sauna after every work out, after heavily sweating during the work out.
 
What's even better is having a generous water intake, daily. That will deplete lots of sodium and help you retain less liquid. Beware though, that going too low on sodium has it's fair share of risks too. Hence why I keep the salt very low, but I don't mind if I indulge here and there.

Yes. I also sweat alot at work (power plant in the DFW area of TX), and I do endurance cardio workouts at least 5x/week. So I allow myself adequate sodium and potassium in my diet to compensate for this. I don't go for the high sodium foods though, I get enough from moderate salt addition to the food as it's cooking and from the G2 I drink after my workouts.
 
I don't know if it is just me, but I no longer think Subway is the way to go. The last times I have been there the food just tastes old. I actually prefer Chipotle if I get the salad. The burritos taste good, but are not good.
 
chipotle burrito bowl, which isn't "healthy" per se, but it has a lot of "good" calories in it if you are actively working out.
 
Wendy's grilled chicken sandwich without sauce or bun (so basically a grilled chicken breast), or their chili. Some Greek places let you buy gyro meat by the pound (although it's not the leanest meat, it's tasty and fills you up without going completely overboard). That's all I can really think of, to be honest, unless you go to some hole-in-the-wall Mexican place and just eat a bunch of carne asada with guacamole and vegetables.
