I agree but even Crysis did not live up the hype and what I was expecting, but it was enjoyable.
I just finished FC2 and at first I really liked it. They created an amazing open world to play in. I just wondered around the first few hours exploring. But as you said, it is very repetitive and tedious. Once you do a few missions, you have done them all and it starts to feel like actual work. This game had the potential to be so much more. It was a waste of money in the end, especially since I do not play online

Crytek didn' have anything to do with Far Cry 2.

FC2 is all Ubisoft and the Dunia engine. Crytek made Crysis.

Haven't played Crysis, but am currently playing(near 24 hours playtime) FC2 and enjoying it.

I'm on like 8% in Farcry 2. Not a steaming pile of poop as some say but how the hell did you guys even get to 50% before you quit?

The game is not the same all the way through. I'm at 20% and the game changed up somewhere between 12-20%. Missions got more interesting, difficulty increased, and more Story is revealed.

Haven't played Farcry 2 yet so can't say. Might pick it up around Christmas.
