I want to love FarCry2, but there are too many nagging annoyance in my opinion. Just not fun enough to play they way they have structured it.

Quality of game doesn't change with patches. Either it improves performance or something added to the graphics.

Crysis for the first 2/3 of the game (up until you kill Gen. Kyoung). Warhead is better than both IMO, but I assume that Crysis is inclusive of Crysis and Warhead.

Far Cry 2 isn't horrible the way some have implied though, I just think that Crysis is more fun. Maybe it's just me, but for my escapism dollar I like the idea of being a bad ass in a nanosuit more than being some sick dude in the desert with a crappy gun.

Funny because a lot of Far Cry 2 comments have said the exact opposite about bulletproof t-shirts.

Regardless, I never understood why people always said that about Crysis. But now that I've seen so many Crysis gameplay videos and nearly every time they have the silencer equipped, well duh. The silencer weakens shots noticeably, especially over long distances. The manual says exactly that. Also the FY71 is weaker than the SCAR from what I can tell. I'm glad they made it have a weakness.

Because when I go loud it doesn't take more than a few of shots to drop a regular Korean soldier.

Doesn't match my experience at all, and I never used the silencer. It was pointless thanks to stealth. And the Koreans regularly took half a clip to drop. Africans by comparision typically take 5-6 tops.
Neither of which addresses the later nano-koreans, who took 10 times the damage you could take, or the silly aliens, which were no fun to fight at all. Crysis started out bad and just got worse.

Farcry 2 is apparently nothing like the original, crysis was a lot like farcry so it sounds like crysis is the better game, although i may give farcry 2 a shot anyways at some point.

Crysis is a first-person shooter. Far Cry 2 is a first-person action RPG. That is my view.

They can't be directly compared in my opinion. I can see how you can compare Crysis with CoD4....(crazy comparison btw)....but just not Crysis versus Far Cry 2.

They both excel in different areas and the both fall in different areas.

I'd vote for: "They are both good, but different."

You're right. FC2 has bulletproof tank tops and sleeveless T-shirts.

I played Far Cry 2 last night for two hours.

Today, I woke up and installed and have been playing Crisis Warhead. I have no plans on going back to far cry 2.

I like both equally, they both have about the same number of annoying mishaps, but in the end I still own and play both regularly. But I must admit that I play Crysis' SandBox 2 editor more than the actual game.
