what do you do when UPS tracking says something is delivered but it's not?

Apparently, i received my package yesterday and was left on my front door at 2:41PM according to UPS tracking.

Should I wait until the end of today to see if it gets delivered today before calling UPS?

What normally happens if the box was stolen?

Look in side side door.

My aunt had a package delivered and it never showed up even though it said it was delivered.

She worked with the delivery service (I don't remember which it was) and the company and they eventually resent her order.

About 6 months later she found the original package... stuffed between the storm door and entry door on the side of her house.

Apparently they never use that door and only found the package cause they decided that, that door would be the easiest way to get something out of the basement.

We all got a laugh out of that.

That happened to me with an Amazon package. They just sent me the same items. However the original package turned up, opened but with everything inside so I refused delivery on the second one.

It was only $40 worth of stuff so I dunno what would happen if it was something more expensive.

i took a walk around the perimeter of the house and we used all the doors of my house from yesterday till today. so unless they put it behind my shed, i dont know where else it could be =\

also, their tracking shows that they left it on the front door.

i was expecting a north face jacket ( i am under 30 so yes i can wear it )and some bike pants. luckily i won't need to wear the jacket next week but it would still be nice to have it for when i come back to the cold!

That was happening to me a while back.

Moron UPS driver was delivering my packages to the same street # on a different street in my neighborhood (the street names are nothing alike). Luckily my Neighbor brought it over. I had to yell at UPS about it and they finally started bringing stuff to the right house. Now they have my address as always requiring a signature too.

However before my neighbor brought my stuff over, I did contact the shipper and have had him open a trace claim or whatever they call it.

Glad I have a good neighbor because it was a $350 item.

UPS claimed my address didn't exist one day. Apparently the name tag on the doorbell was too hard to read (kind of faded), so they didn't bother ringing any of the building's doorbells.

It wasn't completely their fault; I called their corporate line and they said they'd get it sent back out the next day. About an hour after, the dispatcher for the local UPS distribution center calls me and claims that they sent out a postcard via USPS that I could use to pick up the package at the distribution center, ~40+ blocks away. Being a college student, in the middle of the quarter, and having no car, I was like, how about you guys just deliver it again, seeing as how my address does exist and you've delivered to it before with no problems. I had to be pretty insistent on the re-delivery. I did end up putting a new name tag up just to avoid future confusion.

Third, you sit on your ass continuing to be a dumbass, contributing to the decline of western society.

That happened to me, the UPS driver left it at a different house. The guy that lived there dropped it off to me. The stuff was worth about $250 so I was relieved.

Check your neighbors' front doors (which is what happened to me, twice in a week or so). They're accurate with the timing of the delivery... so it is delivered SOMEWHERE. But it may be too late at this point for that.

i highly doubt that. aren't ups drivers unionized? I know the people that work at the centers are, and i'm sure that's the first thing the union would fight about.

Last time that happened to me, they put it on the neighbor's porch.....a neighbor who had gone to Arizona for the winter. A friend of his delivered it to me after he checked up on the house and found it. It was a credit card with a high limit, that was delivered by Fed-ex. Check with your neighbors.

I always contact UPS via their 1-800 number and they will contact the sender and launch an investigation. Or you could contact the sender and they will contact UPS to start an investigation.

2 out of my first 5 package this year were mis-delivered by UPS .
