1) Create a shared calendar in Exchange 2003 upon request from admin. assistant
2) Re-image a PC infected with spyware
3) Change backup drive on server
4) Upgrade a Win 98 system to Win XP SP2
5) Collaborate with supervisor on tomorrow's schedule
6) Clear MS Access database tables in preparation for next school year's lunch system
7) Show new staff how to log in/check email/etc
8) Check on status of quote for new PCs to replace old equipment
9) Call BCS to ask why their technicians haven't arrived on time for the 3rd time this week
10) Locate a company more capable than BCS to handle future communication hardware changes.

My position: Assistant Network Admin.

4. open the door with my keys because I know the reception girl hates to open it herself
5. I take the stairs to the second floor
6. say hi to my colleagues who tend to arrive early (while I mostly leave later in the evening)
7. shake their hands (I hate this but at this company it's customary)
8. I sit down to my desk and check on my mails
9. I start to solve colleagues' problems.
10. I go home

Not all on the same day but . . .

1) Run a steam sterilizer cycle with subminimum temperature and exposure time with biological indicators in place.
2) Calculate a lethality summary from the above, based on temperature data.
3) Examine an Air Handler installation and make notes on the engineering drawings.
4) Test the wiring of control devices by having an electrician generate a signal while I observe at the operator work station.
5) Tie thermocouples to glass bottles and send them through a dry-heat depyrogenation tunnel.
6) Simulate alarm conditions to verify proper equipment set up.
7) Write Exception Reports to explain problems in all the above testing.
8) Explain to quality assurance why Exception Reports are OK.
9) Write a summary report of all of the above.
10) Hop on a plane and fly home.

1. Take vital signs and intake/output
2. Draw blood
3. Start, remove and assess IVs
4. Place foley or straight catheter
5. Place Nasogastric tubes
6. Perform nursing assessments and type out plans of care for the day
7. Perform 5, 12, 15 lead EKGs
8. Perform wound care, as in changing dressings, wound packing and irrigation, simple debridement and measuring output from any tubes, drains etc.
9. Standby, first or second assist with sterile and aseptic procedures with doctors including but not limited to lumbar punctures, central line placement..
10. Standby and full assist in Code Blue. Such as passing meds from crash cart to doctor, bagging a patient with O2 before/after ET tube placement, CPR chest compressions, arterial blood gas drawing, performing emergent EKGs, and/or as a runner of supplies from the clean supply room(IV fluids, tube sets, chest tube sets etc.

Definitely not and it'll get better when I transfer down to the ER in May 07 when I graduate.

1-3 are daily, the others are dependant on other factors.

1) scoop animal poop
2) feed dangerous animals
3) clean/maintain exhibits and quarantine tanks
4) perform necropsies
5) perform medical treatments
6) be underwater for 1.5+ hours
7) handle cancer causing or otherwise dangerous checmicals like praziquantel or acid (in large quantities)
8) manually convert 40,000 gallon batches of freshwater into saltwater with pallets of NaCL, MaCL, CaCL, Na Bicarb, MaSO4, and other trace chemicals
9) maintain population censuses
10) not be so motivated on a particular day and take long lunches and slack a bit.
