What do you do in a workday?

1) Drink a couple cups of coffee when I get in at 8am.
2) While doing 1), sit on internet, mostly AT forums for a good 30-45 min
3) Take many cig breaks
4) Hustle
5) Talk to friends and coworkers about who's going out to the bar tonight
6) Wander around with coworker, "helping him"
7) Take care of whatever quick/simple wiring needs that someone comes in and requests
8) Help coworker/roommate fix/mod his bro's Xbox
9) Make/take too many calls on my cell phone to see what's up for later
10) Assist coworkers with their circuit board building

Yeah... it's been pretty slow this week. I normally work 7 hours or more out of the 8

work on training classes for IT related stuff
help other executive staff with the tech side of their duties

1. Drive to work, arrive ~10 min early
2. Talk with crews and supervisors, answer questions about jobs
3. Answer network requests aka job tickets (surf the web if it is a slow day)
4. Call customers, contractors, etc
5. Go to new job site and determine what is needed for customer (this happens several times per job)
6. Enter job into Management program
7. Import job to Design program
8. Design job and send it to Supervisors for Line Crew
9. Check on current jobs and finish paperwork on completed jobs
10. From 4-5 it's basically hangning around office and BSing with co-workers

Design Engineer (distribution) for a Power Company. So, if you build a new house and you want power, I'm the person who designs and coordinates that.
