If in a home it's a bathroom. If it's a place of business or public area I'll ask for the restroom.

I have two toilets at home and both of them reside in rooms with baths.

But when you go to a pub or bar or something calling it the "bathroom" no longer makes sense, in my house we have two rooms with toilets, the upstairs room (with a bathroom) which we call the bathroom, the downstairs one, which we call the toilet as it just has a toilet in it, if I go to a pub the chances of the room having a bath are slim.

The mods DO frown upon potty threads though.

That's true, but this doesn't involve graphic poo discussion.

If it has a bathtub or shower it's a bathroom if it doesnt it's a restroom.
