I agree with (8) being the biggest issue actually. The Republicans should have stopped obstructing so much after they won the 2010 election. They should have taken leadership for making the Bush tax cuts permanent for the bottom 98%. If the had been willing to compromise even 10% on their agenda they could have gotten almost everything they wanted and looked like adult leaders.
