what do ppl think of ramen?

I dont know how many of you know about it. Nut its a type of food where ppl, who usually fast from sunrise to sunset because they can't afford food, get. Cant even drink the soup? they do it as a sacrifice to their tastebuds.

brand name please... i have this chinese grocery warehouse that stocks everything and I never know which are the good ones.

 

Ramen is kick ass for backpacking deep into the woods where you need a light food.
I cant eat it at home unless its for a snack maybe once a month.

i can't read japanese, the only thing i can make out is nissin or perhaps nissan brand.

it's a big bowl, the noodles are sealed in a plastic container. one flavour comes with meat paste, sauce, seasoning, and dry gingers. another comes with sliced pork.

you have to "cook" it twice, first soak the noodles in hot water, discard the water easily using the bowl cover with pre-punched holes. add all the stuff and fresh hot water. you want pics?

Oh yeah. I prefer the roast chicken flavor, and sometimes we substitute quesadillas for the grilled cheese, but either way :thumbsup:

Korean Shin-Ramun Spicy is awesome. Throw in frozen veggies, some prepared chicken or steak pieces, and you got yourself a nice tasty quick meal.

Wow that sounds like the real deal. I don't know about working that hard for my ramen. I'm used to:
1) boil water
2) throw plastic noodles in, go back to computer for 3 minutes...
3) turn off stove, pour and eat.

Ramen tricks you into thinking that you are getting a real meal.
Plus it's faster than making rice, the only other edible food in the pantry.
