All of them taste the same to me....I just boil it and put some CHINESE BROCCOLI with it.

i remember when Shaws has Ramen (yes, actual ramen) for .05 a bag/pack. I went nuts during that sale.

I never make it as a soup, but as a noddle dish to serve alone with a meat and veggie.

Just cut back the water to next to nothing.

Vegitarian & tom yum ramen are the best plain ramen. (5 min)

or, ramen + veggies also not bad & quick. (10-15 min)

The best -- quickly boil & discard all water using a colander then fry it in olive oil & butter and serve with beef/chicken/seafood stir fry. (30-45 min)

the americanized "8 for $1" and "10 for $1" is utter crap, what do you expect for 10 cents? real high quality ramen costs over $2 for a pack of 4, or 5x times as much and is like WAY BETTER

What kind of ramen are you talking about?
If you're talking about those 6-for-a-dollar ramen, I totally agree with you.
Beside that, there're just way too many kind of GOOD ramens.

Korean ones are the bomb. Nuh goo ri & Shin ramen (Udon & spicey flavor)

You can drop an egg in there, or chop some fresh green onions... even add rice during serving. Good stuff!

Thanks for the suggestions. Now to find some stores which carry those brands.

I buy expensive japanese ramen. they are about 2-3 a bowl. comes with 3-4 pouches of goodies.
brand name please... i have this chinese grocery warehouse that stocks everything and I never know which are the good ones.

i can't read japanese, the only thing i can make out is nissin or perhaps nissan brand.

it's a big bowl, the noodles are sealed in a plastic container. one flavour comes with meat paste, sauce, seasoning, and dry gingers. another comes with sliced pork.

you have to "cook" it twice, first soak the noodles in hot water, discard the water easily using the bowl cover with pre-punched holes. add all the stuff and fresh hot water. you want pics?

yeah thats what i get.

well i tmigh tbe the same thing. Its a little more expensive then the 10 for $1 noodles most people here get. I think its like $1.25 a bowl. great stuff.

I get the err i think "kimchi"? flavored very good and spicy. I have no idea what i am getting (NOT in english) but it sure is yummy.
