Yea; like eating fast food, not flossing, drinking pop, not excercising, etc...

How's the high horse? Being judgemental is fine. Cuz GOD KNOWS anyone who drinks alcohol must be a raging alcoholic.

You obviously drank crap beer. Have some Heineken, Stella Artois, or (someone else insert great Beer here). Quit drinking the crap you see Advertised to death on the tube, it gets plugged relentlessly for a reason.

Why would I insert a great beer (such as This) into a list with Heineken and Stella Artios? They aren't horrible beers, but they rank quite a bit lower than "great".

Although, I have to say, if the OP were ever to drink some Arrogance, I don't think he'd find himself Worthy. But the look on his face would probably be highly entertaining.

Personal preference and experience, my friend.

Describe what it tastes like to you, to me it is like sickening carbonated rotten water. . .

I used to hate beer because all I had drank to that point was canned and bottled beer (even some so called good ones). Then I visited a microbrewery and tried some real beer. It was good stuff. Some of the handcrafted beers are actually really good tasting beverages. For bottled more common (as opposed to rare bottled) beer I find Yuengling and Sierra Nevada pretty good. But start with a good local microbrew or check www.ratebeer.com for good beers and develop a taste for good beer before you work your way down to even the good common bottled beers like Yuengling. In other words start with the best.

Most American beers (other than micro's) suck completely and I wouldn't drink one to save my life. Pilsners (the gold bubbly beer of America) are complete and total crap and should never ever be consumed.

Now a good bitter, or stout, that's entirely different.

To answer your question, if you can see into your beer, it's not real beer.

One of my favorite beers I've found is Gulden Draak (I think it means golden dragon) from Belgium. Its a nice dark ale that's 10% abv (20 proof). To me, it tastes wonderful and doesnt have the harsh taste of hard liquors but gets me buzzed just the same. When I do drink hard liquor, I drink whiskys and rums. I think most people dont like beer because they are only exposed to horrible domestic beers like (Bud, Busch, etc). I'm lucky to go to UCI which has the Antihill pub on campus. The anthill pub is famous for not serving "crap" domestic beers and we only serve tasty imported or microbrew beers. After drinking there, I just can't bring myself to drink any major domestic beer anymore. I'm just too spoiled on campus.

Having a beer with my friends in my school's pub is one of my favorite things to do on the weekend to release stress from the week. It's a great social drink compared to hard stuff which will just get people wasted.

So some of you don't like it......does that mean nobody can?

I can't stand Tequilla or Rum but couldn't care less if my freinds like them. I'm not the "Liquer Police" nor is anyone else. It's all about aquired and personal tastes.

When I was in Nairobi, i took weekend classes at a public school, and sometimes when I used(had to go badly) the worm/insect infested bathroom, i always smelled something bad. Beer too me smells like that. Since then, i don't like the stuff.

There is nothing better than sitting down to A nice cold pint of Guiness after a hard days work. Talk about total satisfaction. Then I go rub one out.

dude, that sounds cool and all, but if you can't spell Guinness it just blows the whole vision.

It is an acquired taste. People drink it because it has alcohol and they do not get drunk as fast as when they drink whiskey.

The first time I tasted Guinness Stout I spit it out. This was embrassing because I was sitting in a bar at the time.

People drink a lot of beers to say they have good taste in beer...
"Ahhh, this one costs 2 dollars more than that one. And, I heard about it on tv. If it's advertised on tv and costs more, it must be a better beer."

There's enough people with that mentality that a lot of average-at-best beers are promoted as being great beers.

*shrug*

Regardless of what you think I drink it because I enjoy the taste. Perhaps seeing that you're a woman and all it may be different. Many people think its thick but thats only the head

Take a gulp of Guinness and then try taking a gulp of a domestic. With a stout you don't get the nasty ass taste of alcohol in your mouth. Sure there is another more developed taste it gives you, but it is -definitely- not alcohol. Next time you are drinking, savour the beer in your mouth for a minute... I guarentee you that Guinness is much easier on your palate once you get past the initial taste.

I find it infinitely easier to stomach Guinness then say Corona, Budweiser, Coors, Canadian, Blue, etc.
