The command line to install Windows 98 is setup.
If you are installing Windows 98 Second Edition, it is setup /p j for correct ACPI support.
Only a limited number of OEM versions of Windows 98 Second Edition allowed booting from the CD.

Try Bootdisk.com for a Win9.x boot disk, then install.
Either will work, but I prefer no ram drive.Originally posted by: Schadenfroh

Boot to the Win98 floppy disk, Choose"Start computer with CD support", At the A:\ prompt change to your CD drive(Should be E:\), Type "setup"(no quotes), hit enter and your off..
