what do i do if one PIN from the cpu broke?

The CPU is now deadless, but i bought it when i bought my dell 8300. Do you think dell will replace the cpu?

Yer screwed unless you have a warranty on the PC. If you do, call Dell's tech support and play dumb "My computer won't start....".

Otherwise, you'll need a new one. Not something that can be fixed.

I can't believe people would just bail on a $100.00 component, just because of one pin. it would be worth a try to use some conductive epoxy to attach another. If it can make contact, it will live!

wouldn't deadless imply "not dead"

if you can't solder it back on, just buy a new one at newegg. they're cheap

muahhha I had a hp and I was fvcking around with the cpu and i accidently forced it back in without lifting the thingy. hehe I played stupid with the Bestbuy ppls i was under the PSP. I said my friend's dad did it. etc etc
