ah, very good point, forgot about that. i would still rather have the big uzi.. i wouldn't be using it for on the go anyway.

as for 2MP for 8x10.. i would have to say it does a pretty decent job actually (canon s10). i mean, if you look closely it's "so-so." i had an outdoor pic of my friend's uncle's viper... i got it printed from shuttyfly @8x10. very nice to just put up in my room 🙂

stay away from those mini-sony's. only the dsc75/85 are really worth considering in my opinion. the others, for the price you can find something better (the size of those are NOT worth it IMO).

another vote for the Canon Powershot G2.

if u read dpreview.com, you will see that even though the camera came out in september, it still is number one in most read review. this is despite newer cameras came out. The G2 still rocks the people.😉

scroll down to where it says the most popular camera reviews clicked on and you will actually see the top 4 from canon. how is that for popularity? 🙂

G2 is quite expensive, and it also have a link at the top of the page. Those hit counters change over time. I got my coolpix 995 for about $375 after pricematching and their now expired $100 rebate. Nikon makes some of the best lenses in the world. Before the digital age, nikon use to throw out more lenses during the QA process than they would ship. Just recently they shipped their 30th millionth lense. Love Nikon. I'm not suggesting the coolpix 995, it has afterall been replaced by higher end models. If you got the dime, go with the higest megapixel available
