what digital camera do you have?

nikon coolpix 995 with the rollbar and sunpak external flash, guide rating of 180. It lights up a very large area. Great camera, but very complex. I prefer nikon because of all the extras you can add to it. Tons of filters, flashes, lenses, etc.

My first digital camera was a Canon PowerShot S10. I gave it to my dad last Demember to make room for a Canon PowerShot G2.

Once I master the G2, I'll start saving my pennies for a D60 or digital SLR.

A friend of mine just got a sweet deal on a Canon S200 Digital Elph from Dell.com for $289.

Fuji FinePix A101 here...great beginner cam but it's really only useful for 3x5 prints or internet pictures, since it's only 1.3megapixels.

Olympus D-510 zoom: 2.1MP (1600x1200), 3x optical / 9x digital zoom, lousy 8MB smartmedia card standard. Good camera, but deffinately get a larger memory card.

Canon S110. I like the size. Outdoor quality is pretty good. Indoor quality is not so good unless it's really bright. The flash on the S110 is pretty poor and the lens is tiny so indoor you really need to tripod it to get crisp pictures.

But having a camera that fits comfortably in your pocket makes up for not great low-light performance IMHO.

olympus d-510 got it as a gift😀 came with a rebate for a free 64 meg smartmedia card good camera, i know its not the best out there but i get a lot of good shots out of it

I usually suggest one of the lensmakers. Some of these manufacturers include Nikon, Canon, and Olympus. My father has had success with the Powershot Axx (A30 I think).

Canon Powershot G2. Arguably the best consumer digital camera out there. The Nikon is it's best alternative. This is a camera that sings if you know how to work it, but if you just want point and shoot, best to look cheaper.

Sony DSC 85. pretty good camera. probably would buy something different if i had to do it over again. but at the time it was the only consumer model availble w/ 4.1 megapixel.

My first one was an Olympus D320L. Then I got a D340L. replaced that with a C2000Z. That was replaced by a C3030Z, and now am using a D40. Am planning on a Nikon D100 or a Canon D60 this summer. They keep getting better and better!
