i never had an answer

im gorwn up now and i still dont know

^^^This

Outside of the usual stuff as a young child, I never knew, and still don't know. There's some micro niches I'd like to get into, but it isn't practical at this point.

I wanted to be a veterinarian when I was little. I wanted to take care of sick animals. In high school, I wanted to be a businessman. That fizzled out after first year university. I work in media now.

When I was really little I wanted to drive bulldozers and make roads. As I got older I wanted to design them.

When I finish college this year I will hopefully be building tunnels. If I can get a job.
Anyone know of any that need to be filled?

Wanted to be a football player till about 12, then puberty hit and I wanted to be a porn star. Now, I just wanna keep my job long enough to raise kids and retire. It is a shame how easily the real world can destroy our hopes and dreams.

Wanted to program video games. Realized in college how boring programming is and how it wouldn't involve playing the games very much. I do IT now.

An astronaut; later, an astronomer. Eventually I settled on scientific and technical writing when it became clear I couldn't handle the advanced math necessary to go into astronomy. Not to mention the job prospects for an astronomer are not that great. Decided to keep it as a hobby instead.

Engineer for military aircraft.

Making progress on the Engineer part, not so much on the aircraft. Not sure I want to work in some giant farm grinding out parts anyways.
