You asked for advice, so here's mine: way too many carbs, not nearly enough protein. Your breakfasts in particular are notably lacking in anything resembling nutritious food (the lox and tomato aren't really enough). Your protein shake is mostly just sugar. Get a good whey protein powder with zero sugar and use that instead. Dinner looks okay, maybe ditch the noodles for more veggies, but not a terrible choice. Eat at least 4oz. of protein at every meal, and keep the starchy/sugary carbs limited to after workouts (along with protein).

Thanks for the advice! I haven't really done any diet research so at this point so every bit helps.

I hadn't heard about the 4oz. of protein at every meal guideline. I'm sure I consume that for dinner, but possibly not for lunch and almost certainly not for breakfast. I will have to to think about different choices for those meals. What kinds of things do you usually have for breakfast?

Agreed about the Odwalla protein shake. Mostly I just get them because I am lazy and they are all over the place. I have been meaning to switch to a powder shake for a while now, though.

Point taken about the carbs. Like I said, I very rarely eat them for dinner anymore, though I did happen to the day of my previous posts. Most of the time I cook up a piece of meat and make a big salad (at least half the plate) instead. Usually when I make a stir-fry type meal I try to throw in as many veggies as possible along with a protein to 'bulk it up' without adding rice, noodles etc. That said I do usually end up eating carbs for breakfast and lunch. Do you try and cut them out completely?
