What did you buy this Black Friday?

I picked up the $29.00 60GB HDD from COMPUSA, but it was 2MB, not 8MB as advertised. But its for my PS2 so its alright. Also picked up a "groovy orange" Wireless Microsoft Mouse for 14.99. I think the total was $41 for everything.

I also spent 2 hours on line to get to the register. 🙂

What did you guys get?

Nothing.
I do not shop on Black Friday. It brings out the worst in people and I, for one, will not participate in the orgy of greed and avarice.

Oh man, seriously people were edgy on the line I was on, then they openned a new register and people in the middle of the line ran to it, and about 4 security guards had to come out to break up the havok.

i overslept, then stopped by office depot but they were out of pretty much everything by 11 am... 🙂

so i bought a bagel next door. didn't get a hot deal on the bagel though

i have to admit, i checked out every sales flier for this years black friday and i was not really that impressed....or maybe i just don't need anything.

either way i'm a little annoyed at how popular rebates are getting. I don't think i saw more than 2 or 3 things i could really want that didn't require a $50 rebate or something to get them to "hot deal" status...

I was looking for a decent CD case for my cd/dvds. Not a single one was on sale, and some seemed higher than usual. 🙁

lets see

yesterday bought 100 FAR CDR's, a $5 802.11g wireless adapter and 2 other quite useless FAR items... so it'll come out to $5+ $7 tax

today i got up early and wanted to order the $10 PNY jump drive with no success. grabbed a paper shredder, NIC, and $3 40-pk DVD+R... comes out to be costing me $7 in total?

then i went out to radioshack and bought 50 more FAR CDR's, then 60 more FAR TY CDR's at another store... all FAR

so yeah 210 FAR CDR's and a bunch of stuff that i don't really need =), everything will probably cost me under $15 or so?

$49 staples executive chair ($149 original)
$200 Polaroid 8" DVD Player (BB)
DVD player case
160gb HD (Staples)
DVD+R (STaples)

Not too bad

I woke up at 10:00am, showered, and was out the door at 10:30am. Here's my list:

Lowe's: Mag-lite for $9.99

Target: Dirt Devil vacuum for my mom, $28.88

Walgreens: 24 AA batteries - $1.99, and a disposable 27 picture camera, $5.00.

I was home at 11:50am. Didn't spend more than 4 minutes in line in any store.

Last year I got a 80gb hard drive at Staples for $15 -- no line.
Also last year I got three 120gb hard drives at BestBuy for (I think) $50/ea -- 1:30hr line.

All in all, last year I made out like a bandit, but this year -- I slept in. 🙂
