You, on the other hand, start posting about 5 different pics of ridiculous photos without a comment or observation. Apparently you think you're funny or cute, I'm not sure. There's a middle ground that hefty men of the pre-fatty era occupied. Because fatties have expanded things, they've polarized our very existence, our world now classified as either skinny or fat (or ideal for the rare ubermensch, but I've already stated that they may wear suspenders). The stocky, middle-aged and mustached ideal of generations past is now pressured by the pudgemind into becoming one of them, and those that refuse are henceforth cast into the metrosexual abyss, with nary a suspender remaining to support their superior girth.

maybe it has something to do with the fact that in the past, people wore more baggy clothing, while now it's tight enough to stay in place without suspenders, or with a belt in the worst case, so suspenders really aren't necessary.

I don't understand the jeans/hanging suspenders thing, I saw it just once in real life anyway.

Aside from a few of the dashing and facially-exquisite professional types posted in here, suspenders require a larger and manlier build to not look silly. Modern-day fatties have destroyed the once-good image of the hefty alpha male, and thus they have basically vanished.
