Assuming $USD what computer item would you purcahse for $30 to $35?

Keyboard, memory, what..?

The best item I can think of that I saw recently was 256MB ram for $25. Otherwise I can't think of much I'd want to buy that would be WORTH it at that pricerange. Hot deal on CD-Rs maybe.. but otherwise you get nothing good for $30. What do you think?

I would probably pick up the extra memory or a wireless optical mouse.

Well, for $30-$35 you can get quite a bit at Newegg's refurbished section. I saw a Radeon 9000 and a 1700 Thoroughbred for about that much today.....:)

and burn your computer while eating the cheeseburger??

There's nothing I could buy for $35 that would improve my computer.

not even one of those elephant suit we saw a while ago??
(forgot where it was from.... but some guy fixed up his computer with that suit... quite hilarious)

holy crap you people reply fast...

anyway. how about one of those flexible keyboards?

50-pack of CDs?

256+MB ram?

just want some ideas... want to spend about $35-60cdn on something for the comp but don't know what. My keyboard dies randomly sometimes (plugging in again makes it work) but that could be a K7S5A related prob and I don't want to spend on a new M/B right now. I have $50 speakers, can't buy better speakers than I have for the money I'm willing to spend. printer/scanner same deal... burner - MAYBE. I have 8x4x32 HP ... I could buy a 48x12x40 or some similar thingy for reasonable price. but why? no CDs, and 10 mins to burn a CD doesn't bother me in the least. so maybe a DVD drive? can get one for $60cdn.. 16x.. that would be cool.

BUT...... I have a TNT2 and a 15".

:Q

Don't plan on sinking lots of money into this comp but I do wanna do something little to it..

I would repair my old Laserjet 6 printer that takes several pages at the same time. I was told it can be fixed for $30.

If we're talking price after rebates, I'd get one of these:

a 40x CDRW drive
a 40-60 GB hard drive
a UPS backup

I've bought all of these for under $30 in the past. (And I'd do it again! :) )

If I could get the PM to go thru w/out a hassle, I'd pick up those Z560's @ Staples for $19 AR. You have to PM to OfficeMax and then send in a $20 rebate. Excellent deal! I'll keep on pounding my Yamaha YST-50's in the meantime until they're back in stock.
