I love the old aircooled Vdubs. I had a dream not too long ago that I got a new(old) bus. The dream felt so real, and it felt great stepping into it for a drive. I was almost in tears when I woke up and found it was just a dream :^D

I don't know if they still make them, but I wouldn't mind having a Westfalia Eurovan. Something like that's ideal for my lifestyle, as I travel light, and sleep in my vehicle when traveling. Those would be luxury accommodations compared to what I'm used to :^)

I think most people would be happy to have a Mustang as a first car. Just out interest, did you pass your test when you were older?

Nope. It was just a matter of perfect timing. When I bought it Mustangs from that era were considered old, but were not old enough to be really collectible. The Shelby and Boss models and anything with the 289 Hi-Po had some value, the garden variety models were plentiful and dirt cheap. All my friends had Mustangs at the time, it was the coolest car we could afford.
