While I totally agree that he wasn't white, I am also surprised by how many people are convinced that he was black. Neither of those groups had much of an influence in that area at that time, especially within the Jewish community. I'm not sure which modern day "color grouping" he would fit in to.


Please note that I'm not trying to start a flame war, although I'm already convinced that it will become one.

I don't think that that applies either. Jeruselem was conquered by the Babylonians ~600 years before then, but the Jewish community as a whole still didn't mix much. Those that went back to rebuild Jeruselum were the ones that didn't mix with the Babylonian culture. What we think of as Arabic also wasn't reallt integrated with the Jewish community during that time.

I'm sure no one here believes the Shroud of Turin is real, but the image on that looks just like Osama. However, if Jesus was Jewish, why wouldn't he look like Jewish people today? More like a Jerry Seinfeld / Woody Allen kind of look?

I would say that the image on the Shroud has a middle eastern appearance, but I wouldn't say that it "looks just like Osama."
And Jesus would not have looked like Seinfeld or Woody Allen because they are Jews of Europeans descent. Jews did not move into Europe until the Diaspora, which occurred after Christ's time.
I think the issue of "what color was Jesus?" is totally meaningless, but if an answer must be told, he wasn't white, he wasn't black, and he wasn't Arabic. If he resembled any modern peoples, then I would say that he probably looked much like how Palestinians look today.

Our second clue is that people in those days had some mighty dark tans.

He was neither "white" nor "black", he was just "dark".
 
I think he was a little bit of everything(RAINBOW COLORS!). His father was God right? What was God then? How did it mix with the virgin Mary? We will never know.

He would have had the generic mediterannean look of the time - tan. Anything else and you think there would be comments about how he looked different from everybody else.
 
Jesus is brown..he is mexican and he is my mechanic...btw you pronounce his name ..hey-zoos or call him chewie that is his nick name 😛
 
there's a movie that's gonna be made by mel gibson...and it still has jesus as a white dude....wat gives.....

there was a time magazine article about it also awhile back..was it time or something else? forgots...or was it national geographic?..forgots.....
and they had like a cg and a clay model of the possible face of jesus...
