What color (colour) suit for a job interview?

Black is not suitable for a very traditional interview. For a law or ibanking job you want Navy Blue or Charcoal.

This used to be a pretty serious rule. Today, a lot more people wear black (esp in fields/areas with a large Asian population). Thus, this rule is changing, but again, for law or ibanking, I would stick with traditional.

Black used to be reserved for dinner. There was a distinction between business attire and dinner attire. Today dinner attire is almost never used (except for prom, weddings and state functions) so the line has blurred.

Navy Blue...hands down. Black is to formal and rigid. The other colors come off to casual. Navy blue is crisp and sharp.

A deep blue is also acceptable. But, yeah, charcoal would be my #1 choice.

It really depends on the job. Charcoal for most jobs, but pastel or floral may be appropriate if you're looking for a position working for Casiotech...

I think charcoal looks the most professional, but I wear black because it's the only suit color I have at this time. Navy blue is probably a good choice too.

I wear charcoal suits to pretty much any event that requires a suit unless it's like an out-door summer thing (in which case I'll break out the off-white suit)

I loathe navy blue, but it's just a personal preference... I don't own navy blue anything.
