No, this is GRAY

This is CHARCOAL

While it's true that charcoal could be considered to be a variation of gray, they are different colors.

Charcoal grey.

Wearing a black suit makes the interviewer think you only own 1 suit and you are not creative.

If you only have 1 suit and its balck I would do my best to spice up the shirt/tie combo and not go with the standard white shirt.

Last three jobs I got:
One wearing a Navy Blue suit.
Second one wearing a Black suit (2 years ago, engineering)
The last job I got (3-4 months ago, engineering consulting firm), Black suit.

I will admit, when I bought my last suit, I was looking for a charcoal suit but couldn't find one I liked.

I think Navy, Charcoal, or Black are all acceptable. Just look nice and be professional.

Any. Grey is a nice neutral. Black is sexay and professional, blue is kind of fancy. If you wear white, I hope you bring your possy with you.

Safest neutral pick for any professional job interview: Medium charcoal suit, white shirt, plain or textured tie, black cap toe or plain oxfords.
