None because we had video games growing up.

Only counting stuff I played through high school:

Call of Cthulhu
D&D
Vampire
Mage
Shadowrun
Vampire Dark Ages
Earthdawn (was and still is my favorite, currently running a game)
Cyberpunk 2020
Chill
Battletech (or whatever the rpg part was called)
Heavy Gear
Ars Magica

I know there were one or two others that we did a session or two in but I can't remember exactly what they were.

D&D First, Second, and Third
Palladium, Rifts, and Robotech
Vampire and Werewolf (LARP)

Played some other games like GURPS as well, but I spent a majority of my time with the ones above.

Seriously played (means for many years and ran campaigns):

AD&D
Runequest
Champions

I played almost every one I have seen in the thread here, but the three above were the
longest running ones I played.

I played Awful Green Things from the original printing from Dragon Magazine.

I still play it today against my kids and they really like it.

played AD&D all through grammar school and high school with some friends.

moved onto 3rd Edition in college, but haven't really played since graduation.

I loved the lore for Vampire the Masquerade, but only ever played it a couple times (with a spectacularly bad game master, tbh)... still bought all the books and read them, though, because I found the whole game world to be really interesting.

That game is on sale on Steam right now.

Worth it?

How do you like Pathfinder and how would you compare it with the various editions of D&D and other RPGs?

I believe it's generally described as being AD&D 3.75. It can be a little rules-heavy, but it's still enjoyable. My viewpoint is generally that as long as the rules aren't actively getting in the way, they're not what makes a game fun.
