What certifications do you currently have? Not including ones that you are persuing.

I did a seach on certs and didnt find anything similar to this.

Several years ago I did A+, Net+, and CCNA. They get me interviews - my degree and experience get me hired.

Do those count? 😛

for RossMAN.. sure. You should start your own certification program in those.

Hmmn RossMAN Certified, I like the sound of that ... 😱

I have a 4 year double major in computer science and MIS. I don't have any other certs. I used to apply for jobs that said "MCSE required" and found that it really wasn't required at all and I used to get interviews and job offers. I think some HR person just makes up the job requirements. Certs can be nice to set you apart from the field maybe, but at this point my degree, experience and knowledge during an interview are far more important than some paper that says I know how to take a 60 minute computer test.

MCNE MCSE (NT4 2000 & 2003) CCNA CCDA, and right now I would say they are NOT worth the trouble to get. I have them because they are basically a job requirement where I work. The only certification that I see as being anything special is the Cisco CCIE.

MCSE, MCSA NT, 2000.... and like someone else mentioned they get you interviews... and the degree and experience get you the job...

P.S. they are worth getting IMHO

ccnp/ccdp, passed ccie written (failed lab 🙁 )

bunch of others I have since forgetten about like checkpoint and MCSE.

helped in that it helped me learn. I enjoyed the satisfaction that I could pass some of the harder tests (CCIE)

don't do much tech stuff now...more design and project management/management

heh.. i have an A+ & MCP. didn't help me with a damn thing. maybe guarentee me a job at compusa though. i'm gonna take my security+ since it's only $15 through my school.

A+ and an expired CCNA hehe
My job is going to be sending me to classes and exams for the MCSE. Sounds good to me.

A+, a couple of MCPs, and CCNA. Did it help me find a job? Almost, except I turned the job down because of low pay. Certifications are usually only good when you have a career path in front of you at a company where they require them. Don't get them to try to get a job, because most of the time it doesn't work.

A+, CNA5 and CNA6.

It was beneficial because it gave me more leverage in getting a salaried job for a fairly major university with no degree....at 22.

A+, N+, MCP, MCSE 2000

None of them did any good for me after college because I didn't have any experience in the field to back them up. The same day I was suppose to join the army was the same day that my friend's dad phoned me offering me a job which is where I am today. That was 2 years ago.

MCP, CCNA, CCDA and two cisco exams

pretty useless for me now, i learnt most of my stuff through experience...and with help from top level Cisco engineers at work.
