What certifications are you pursuing?

I have been pursuing computer certifications for a time now, and I was wondering what certifications (computer or other) that other people were pursuing. To date, I have achieved MCSE (NT and 2000), MCP+I and CCNP. I am currently pursuing Novell's CNE certication and might possibly pursue Oracle or more Cisco in the future.

None right now. I already have A+ (wooptie doo.) I might try to get a networking cert., maybe during the summer.

I'm currently pursuing my Oracle9i certifications. One test down, three to go.

I was considering getting my CCNP, but I found out that they are updating their exams. The 503, 504, 505 and 506 exams are out in beta with test number 603, 604, 605 and 606. I might wait until the 600-series exams are released to see which version will be easier to pass.

For now, I think I'll continue with Oracle9i and possibly get my CCDA while I wait for the CCNP exams.

I just finished updating my MCSE to Windows2K and grabbed the Linux+ Comptia certification while I was at it just to maintain the karmic balance on my soul. heh.

am A+ cert'd now, I, sit for Networking + next week, then straight into MCSE (am close to ready for the 1st couple of the core 4 now ) and then possibly either Ciso or Novell depending on what the market is looking for

Baffled, I know that Network+ was recently re-released (as of 1/31/02). If I were you, I'd ensure that the study guide I was using is sufficient to cover the new topics covered on the exam. What study materials are you using?

Sanity. They say I may only be locked up in here for a few more years. I am going to miss these padded walls.

Finishing up my GCSE's this summer and then hoping to go on to do an AS level in Business Studies and a 3-course BTEC in Programming and Web Development/maintenence. 🙂

15 here with A+, NET+, MCP(2K pro and server), going for MCSA and MCSE, taking Network Infastructure next and I will learn to spell it correctly😉

I did the mcse and mcp+i in nt4, but just a few hrs ago..
I passed my CCNA! whoo!
Anyway so now I'm off to work on the CCNP.

MS Networking Essentials + third edition.

I'm not too worried about this exam, even with revisions, it's all pretty basic networking stuff.. lol unlike the WIN2K exams which I've already started preparing for

Already have my CCNA. I'm working on the CCNP right now. I'm planning to take the routing exam and the remote access exam on spring break, the switching exam in May, then the troubleshooting exam in August. I might try to get the CCDA in the summer as well.

Several NT4 MCP's, A+ and currently studying for CCNA. I need to take one of the Win2k certs but I just can't get motivated for it. Signed up for the upgrade exam from NT to Win2k, but never really studied for it and now the chance is gone. After that probably a Linux or Unix certification.

Have my A+, MCSA, MCP, and CCNA. Going for my MCSE 2K (2 exams left 🙂 ) and CCNP. Going to learn some Exchange 2K as well, not sure if I want this cert yet. I'll see what I like to do and what's out there then focus on those areas. Don't really want to have some knowledge here and there but master of none. Even during my internship I've come to realized that I can't possibly put all that I've learned in my MCSE course will be applicable in the big corporate world. Unless you're "the man" in a relatively small company, otherwise you can't possibly put all that you've learned to good use.

My 2 cents.
Plucky

MCSE and CCNA

by the way.. the tests for MCSE is a joke.... with the braindumps, one can easily pass every fscking test without any training in 2k!!!

Are you saying that is a good thing?

What did you think of the CCNA exam? Heard they upped the requirements to pass it.

yeah, but I don't want to just pass a test, I want to learn enough to be an effectiive network admin who can bring something of value to whoever hires me... not just another cert mill paper tiger
