What car should I get to replace my RSX? [Current car in question = S2000]

(2) What car should I get to replace it? I'm looking for low 20's...

your fault for both buying the base and the auto 😉

Umm, when you drove it off the lot the car lost at least $2000 in value. Fully expect to lose at least $2000.
As for replacing it, you haven't said why you dislike the RSX and you haven't said what you are looking for in a car.

The car has been titled, prepare to lose thousands.....

Why? I think its a great little car, nice performance.. beautiful interior... But I'd most certainly opt for the Type S.

I would say get this but they aren't in production yet.

Amazing you can get a balls-to-the-wall pocket rocket like that for so cheap... nice.

Yep, you sell it now and you just lost a couple grand. Trade it in and it could be more like 4000.

Did you ever see that video of a Caravan beating a Cobra - R? 🙂

ARgh!! Didn't you research before buying a car? Auto? AEEEII!!

Like everyone said, you will lose lots of money. But do whatever makes you happy.

What's with all of the automatic transmission bashing in this thread? Personally, I'm driving my 5th commuter car and all of them have been manual transmissions. However, I'm ready to take a slight hit on performance to get the convenience of an automatic. Don't get me wrong, I like shifting, but if you live in a high traffic area, then it's not always the best option to pick.

And, to the original poster of this thread, you'll lose out on quite a bit of money if you sell your vehicle now. Not only will you lose some money due to depreciation, but you'll also lose money in regards to the taxes you paid on the vehicle when you purchased it. Sorry that this vehicle has not worked out for you, though.

A couple thousand? Most cars depreciate 30% the moment you drive it off the lot. If you don't like it why'd you buy it? You will probably lose $4-5K if you sell it. If you've got money blowing out your ass, then sure why not. Otherwise live and deal with the choice you made.

Keep the car unless you want a race car. RSX is a very nice looking vehicle and does everything you need. You'll lose way too much money if you sell. I can't imagine losing 2-3K after 1 month of use.. I hate losing 20 dollars because I didn't like something and decided to sell it a month later. Choice is up to you but think about it before you do anything you'll regret.

Jlee is right. Ever try to buy a demo?

Base audio is barely adequate...The Type S system was good enough for me but most of the S-drivers I know replaced some or all of their system :T

Yup...I wanted the convenience for California traffic and the S doesn't come in auto so I was sorta stuck...

Not "fun" enough. The next car will be more fun, sporty, stick...

unless you have extra money to throw around..
Yup...that's obviously what's holding me back...but my logic is that if I'm gonna be unhappy with it and sell eventually, best to do it now when there's very few miles and the next year's models haven't come out yet ==> make it easier to sell

Yup...Kelley Blue Book says I'd lose $3000 of my purchase price to a dealer, $1500 of my purchase price to a private party...Actually, my most probable course of action is giving it to my sister for $4500 less than what I paid...at least that way, someone I know benefits from me getting screwed 😕

I researched for *months* a lot of that research coming on these forums in fact 🙂. The big problem is that I test drove the Type S when I was comparing the RSX to all sorts of other cars...decided on the RSX...then at the 11th hour switched thinking to an auto 🙁

Yup...that's why I got it originally...I never thought I'd be the type of person who'd be unhappy with a slow car that looked very nice and had so many things going for it otherwise. But here I am...

The bose system in the Type-s is horrible. That "sub" thats inside the spare rim is a joke. Definitely replace the audio system if you get the car. The car itself is nice....my friend bought one when it first came out and I had enough time behind the wheel to get a good feel for the car. Everything is good but the audio.
