Nope. Actually did learn to drive on one of those things. Not that specific one of course. I had to look up a pic of it online cos I don't have any.

When you arrive in the UK you may be lucky enough to come from a country which is recognised by the DVLA as having a resonable driver training program, if not, you have to take the full UK test to get a UK license. He/She may well have opted to do the test in that car as you can choose any roadworthy car that you have valid insured on to take the test.

I don't even remember what the driver's ed car was that I first drove in. After the 2 day course, it was my dad's 4th generation Maxima. Nothing noteworthy or interesting about that car. Wasn't allowed in mom's Mercedes as both were new at the time.

Learned to drive with my Dad's 93 Ford Taurus. Slower than dirt, but a good learners car as you really couldn't get in too much trouble with it 😛
