38 bhp + 1400lbs + spindly wheels = lotsa fun (also quite dangerous at anything over 50 mph 😛 )

I did my behind-the-wheel driver training at a weird privately-owned drivers school where the instructors owned the cars. As a result I learned in a 1984-era Camaro Z28. Admittedly it was a lame, mid-80s V-8 muscle car, but it was still a V-8 muscle car . . .

In the mid to late 80's in high school one of my best friends had a Ferrari 328, Porsche 930 Turbo, Lamborghini Countach, and a started with a brand new Supra Turbo when they first came out.

1991 ford taurus with the vulcan V6. not fast. bench seat was awesome though. really easy to do naughty things while driving :sneaky:

The Ferrari could well be owned by a wealthy migrant. When you arrive in the UK you may be lucky enough to come from a country which is recognised by the DVLA as having a resonable driver training program, if not, you have to take the full UK test to get a UK license. He/She may well have opted to do the test in that car as you can choose any roadworthy car that you have valid insured on to take the test.

The person who filmed the car talks to the owner right at the end. It really was a kid with his dad learning to drive his first car.

I don't even remember what the driver's ed car was that I first drove in. After the 2 day course, it was my dad's 4th generation Maxima. Nothing noteworthy or interesting about that car. Wasn't allowed in mom's Mercedes as both were new at the time.

first it was this

that was a fun little car there. that one got stolen, and i walked for a while until i saved enough to get my 79 CB750 monster bike from a salvage yard, rebuilt it all and made it decent. that was my only transpo for the next 4 years until my first kid was born.

that's a really pretty one there. no collector value for those cars.

Eleven years old, in the middle of grainfield. Couldnt see over the steering wheel when I pushed the clutch in. But had to learn to help out in the evenings after school.

Learned to drive with my Dad's 93 Ford Taurus. Slower than dirt, but a good learners car as you really couldn't get in too much trouble with it 😛
