What car can go 120 in second gear?

ya many american cars had 2 speed automatics in the 50's, general motors still sold some 2 speed automatics up until the early 70's

Speed is a function of gearing and RPM. Simple as that. If 2nd = 70MPH = redline, the only thing you can do to change that is either change the gearing, or increase the redline.

Most cars aren't geared to go 120 in 5th, let alone 2nd. :laugh:

Although, that is more a function of engine power and/or governor limiting..... but yeah.

My friend did downshift to 2nd gear going around 100 and blew his whole transmission. This same guy also got pulled over by helicopter before... Go figure..
