what car brand would you NEVER even consider buying?

Saturn (Because they're not only ugly, but a pain in the ass to do simple things like change the battery on)
Honda (Because they are such big targets for theft in my area)

I am a big fan of 80's Toyotas and pre 1973 Plymouths. 😀

I would never own a ford. the few I've bought were more trouble then all the used vehic.I've ever owned..mostly dodge trucks. And the dealers were miserable as well.

I wound never consider any of these brands at all for a car

Hyundai
Kia
Honda (i would consider their bikes though)
Toyota
Saturn
Daewoo
Suzuki

I dont like the styling of any of their cars, I know Honda and Toyota tend to produce quality but everyone and their mother has them, and they are puny .... so thats why they are on my list

what car brand would you NEVER even consider buying?

Mercedes
Jaguar
Fiat

Infinity and Lexus

All way over-priced and/or unreliable.

And frankly Kia will be the "Toyota" of the next decade. 😛 Cars from Japan are WAY overrated (and overpriced)

How are they unreliabe ?

Can you show some proof to this statement ?

The most unreliable cars in same price range are Chrysler, Ford, GM .. all US brands.

Mercedes, Infinity, Jaguar, Lexus,
How do you know these are not reliable? Have you owned or driven enough to base your opinion ?
Just beacuse you cannot afford them does not automatically put them into the "unreliable" category.

Little jonny cannot buy a Ferrari. hence it is a POS car .. lol

Spare us the opinion pleeeez

And now to FIAT :

Have you ever driven one ?
If yes, what model was it and where ?

What's wrong with hyundai's? I thought they were much improved?

That's what I heard too.. Hyundai Elantra's use to be $10-12k back in 2000, now it goes for $14-15k.

Suzuki probably bottom of the list. Also basically anything american with exception to a few cars like a mustang. I just don't like em (american cars, not the mustang).

Any new car. All brands included.

Yep, huge waste of money. Most likely the second largest investment that you'll make in a lifetime, and probably the only one that will depreciate 50% in the first 18 months of ownership.

50%, what are you driving a dodge neon? 😉 But yeah new cars are baaad.

I'll never buy any car that has those 'blind the hell out of everyone' headlights. I will demand that they change the lights or just get something else. I think it's truly sad that so many people out there want to screw everybody else just so they can look good and see only marginally better.

DROF... (driver returns on foot) 😀..... I mean, Ford.

Easily, the worst American engineering.

Dodge would be a close second.

To the person who said that never would buy a car NOT made by union workers, I invite you to visit a union factory and a no union factory...... you could change your mind after that 😉

At the moment, Merc... Jag... Buick... Cadillac... Lincoln... I don't think I'm old enough to buy those cars yet.
Anything Korean because they're still ripping off old Japanese technology... might as well buy old Japanese car if you want that.

Never a Bentley, Maybach, Rolls because even if I had that kinda money... I'd rather be buying something I can enjoy driving. And also Ferrari... breakdown prone exotics are not my bag baby... 😛

I guess you missed the "and/OR". Jaguar and Fiat are notoriously UNreliable. Mercedes is ridiculously overpriced as are the "copy cat - luxury" Infinity and DisLexus.

Sure . . . but this is "OT" and I don't have to as my opinion is as worthless as yours. 😛 😀

If yes, what model was it and where ?[/quote]Yes and as if it was any of your business, I owned a 1978 X1-9 (which I made money on despite it being a POS - Fix IT Again, Tony).

😀

I can't believe it hasn't been mentioned yet....GEO!!!!! I hate GEO when you see someone driving a geo you know they're going to drive slow as crap cause 1. their car can't handle it and 2. they bought their car for good gas mileage and aren't going to push it because they're going to get crappy gas mielage

I drive a GEO Prizm and in the city it does well. I think its funny sitting next to a BMW or Lexus or a "fast" car and just grin to myself and think, Gee dude, i paid 6K for my car and you paid 40K for your car and your going as fast as I am. 😉

on the open road my cruise is set at 80-85 and still get 35mpg.
