Anything not made by American union workers who spend thier money here and end up paying my salery.

just curious: has anyone ever actually had a bad experience witha korean car? have they actually had any experience with a korean car? (edit: i see waggy posted some)

honestly, with warrenties that good, i'd rather buy korean than american. at least you've got 10 years on it rather than "maybe" 10 out of the americans...

well that cuts out a lot of "american" cars. your best bets ironically would be toyotas and hondas.

Thats fine. I always look at the content though. Even my Ford was something like 18% foreign.

The only car I've seen 100% is the AM Hummer. It cost 100K though and is very noisy inside.

I was riding in my friend's Hyundai Scoop (or whatever it's called) when it's alternator fell out. We were wondering what the whining noise was so we took it to the mechanic and he told us the alternator fell out and was rubbing against the tire.

As for cars, anything domestic I wouldn't touch with a 10 foot pole... Ford, Dodge, GM, Chevy, etc.

No Hyundai for me..

Nearly everybody has listed Kia. Why? What's wrong with them? I probably wouldn't ever buy one, but it hasn't been crossed off my list for any particular reason.

Italian made vehicles

You must be a king of fools to dislike Italian cars.

Just to refresh your automotive brains,

These are italians, 100% throughbred :

1) Ferrari
2) Maserati
3) Lamborgini ( owners are VW )
4) Ital Design
5) Alfa Romeo
6) Bugatti

Almost all car companies get their design from italian designers and copy them shamelessly.

Bugatti, Alfa Romeo, Ferrari have a racing heritage from 1900's.

Ferrari Formula uno ala F1 is the WINNER from last 3 years.

Nothing beats italian ... in the race track at or in the NJ turnpike.

PS > Dad owns a 456 M 2+2 blue Ferrari.

Italian is the way to go .. flamboyance, statement, speed, grace, technology, design and "WOW" factor and hot chicas that flock to sit beside you.

Which brings me to my question, why are so many people saying no kia, but they would consider hyundai (or in your case the other way around)? Hyundai owns Kia....unless I've been misled their relationship is more similiar to that of ford and mercury than chrysler and mercedes meaning you're getting roughtly the same car. Have I been told wrong?

In my experience Hyundai is pretty good. Not as refined as the japanese but is cheaper.

I guess I wouldn't buy
Buick
Samsung
Daihatsu (owned by Toyota but still)
Tata
Proton
Lada
Skoda
Suzuki
Daewoo
Rover
MG
Jaguar

I don't like domestics that much but they have certain models that I would definitely consider.
