Yeah it is ... not like I really care all that much if anyone knows I'm on, but broken is broken.
Is it broken? Sounds like some are off, and some are on according to settings. I'm thinking you'll show on to yourself, but not to other people.

I hate sticker headers too that seems to be a trend on so many sites now. And yeah looks like they got rid of the "reactions" and just went back to "likes". That's how it originally was I think.

At least they haven't implemented that thing where the page changes as you scroll down or up.

  1. They rarely work very well as a vent.
  2. They are often installed to low.
  3. Even when installed to low, a lot of people have to reach up to access them. Not a good thing when handling hot food.
  4. They're butt ugly.
The entire concept came out of the "space saver" method of kitchen design. In an RV or submarine they're a great idea, in a home they're simply a lazy way of sticking in a microwave without having to think about it.

pretty much this--though it's not just for RVs. A lot of apartments and houses in non-US countries are much smaller on average, and space efficiency is a requirement, not really a design choice.

I think it has been popularized here because of what is mostly necessary over there, and especially with giant furniture stores, which are really "design warehouses" like IKEA that promote that lifestyle, defining that aesthetic.

Yeah, the french flag bar.

It was Italy, you big dummy!

There was a thread about it some time ago in Forum issues, where one of those admin/staff people mentioned that it was definitely going away "At some undetermined time."

I still don't know what "Future" is. Purch ran off to the hills after only ~3? years with us?

AnandTech is ouwned by the Limies nouw? Crap, doues this mean we have to misspell all ouur wourds?

Yeah, it looks like we're owned by the brits now, along with a bunch of other tech forums, car forums, and gun forums.

A British company owning a bunch of gun forums? That is odd. I don't think that you can legally own anything more lethal than a Swiss Army knife there now.
